My van should be repaired by Thursday but yeah it's worst case... transmission has to be rebuilt. Looks like I'll be paying for the repair *then* paying what I can of this month's bills.

I also got the call today asking when I could come in to train at my new job so I will be training Saturday. I put in my notice at my delivery driver job and will work a few nights next week - my new job is 3rd shift so I think I can work 4-8pm for a few days. I won't try to kill myself or my van again trying to do that for longer. My last day there is the day before my birthday - so I guess my birthday present to myself is quitting a job that was dragging me and my energy down and tearing up my van. Yep time for some change.

So everything we own that was stored at my parents is now at the house - either in the house or the garage. (Yay we have a garage now!) I have a lot of dishes to re-wash and put away before my kitchen is truly use-able and I want to have friends over on my birthday weekend (Oct 16 is my birthday, the 17th is when I want to have friends over) so I'm trying to make this house look like a house and not a storage unit before then.

I found out my older cat decided one of my boxes of stuff and some plastic bags holding last minute grabs from the apartment made a good litter box substitute. Why couldn't it at least have been one of the empty boxes full of newspaper?! One of the boxes held a smaller box that I had packed some of my tangled jewelry creations - ones I have had for sale... I really hope I can get the cat pee smell cleaned off the jewelry!!! She ruined one of my favorite organizers, a can of sugar-free chai mix and some other stuff... so now I have all the boxes unpacked - except what I tossed from the pee soaked one - and everything that has not been peed on is on the table and the counters...There is not a box, bag, or piece of paper left on the floor in the living room or kitchen... anything that couldn't be unpacked tonight made it into the pile in my hobby room or the large laundry room.

On top of that mess I've been without my van since late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning. I'm having to use my husband's teeny car (ugh) for work while he gets rides to work and back from co-workers. My transmission is out and I'm waiting to here back from a repair guy about what it's gonna cost me. They did say worst case scenario is $1500.... yikes... if I can get my van payment rolled over this month I can maybe afford $1000 if I'm lucky that's only if I can get the payment rolled over and thanks to not having to make our first house payment until November... I'm hoping it's less than $500...
Yeah paying for another subscription is not a high priority right now. I'm also to the point of trying to change jobs so I don't have to kill my van again when I get it back. No more delivery driving jobs for me - EVER... trying to get a job at a nearby gas station - they ordered the background check and drug test so that should be a good sign right? I shouldn't have any problems on either of those. I've NEVER done illegal drugs. I'm just hoping the reason I haven't heard anything is that it probably takes a couple business days to get the results of both things....
